Call from 1-800-922-2346 at 2:59 AM (PST)! What the hell! I figured someone needed bail or had died, but no it was just an 800 number. I sent the call to voice mail and after a few minutes I had a voice mail. It was a robocall, and the only part of the robot call that was recorded was "thank you and goodbye.". The voice was a woman with an accent (Caribbean or maybe West African).

I received a phone call this morning at 5:10 AM! I jumped up worried because no one calls me at 5 in the morning. It was from this 800-922-2345 number. They left a vcml and it was an awful recording telling me to log into verizon54 and receive my $54 dollars??? I haven't had a verizon account in years, so I knew it was a scam. Ridiculous

The accent was clearly African. The website they point you to "34Verizon.com" is hosted through in SPAIN even though the number is a US number it's probably just a service - the crooks are not here. This is probably a phishing scam (trying to get info from you) or an international call scam where they get you to call a number outside the US and saddles you with a huge bill. It wouldn't surprise me if all of us were refugees from the Target data breach, this is the sort of scam I would expect.

Received a call from 1-800-922-2345 on 2-2-14 @ 8:00 am. The message was to call ? or visit 34verizon.com to claim your free ? money. Hard to understand the foreign accent. I suspected it was Nigerian but I have no way to prove it. I am going to contact Verizon tomorrow and tell them I received it. I am going to rate it unsafe because I fear - do not know for sure - but fear it is an attempt to steal identity and/or access to my verizon account. Just remember, it said to go to 34verizon.com and log onto your account.

Has called before and could not understand the caller, so I hung up. Calls received on Sunday and, previously, late at night. Junk call.

Also, please note Verizon Wireless would never contact you in such a way or ask you to provide personal information to receive a refund or rebate. If Verizon were to host such an offer, you'd probably just see it on your billing statement or something along those official lines. Phishy calls, e-mails, ads, or texts would not be Verizon's approach. note that verizon wireless's official website is and is only verizonwireless.com

Phishing website scam. An accented woman, with falsely applied Verizon association, will tell you (if you answer or if you don't, which you shouldn't, in a voice message) to visit www.34verizon.com to receive a 34 dollar refund or rebate on your next billing statement. Don't go to the website. It is a website cleverly designed to appear as an actual verizon website, when it's actually not. You'll enter in your verizon account information to log in, and then be asked to enter your social security number, all required fields for the "prize" of 34 dollar refund on your next bill. Once you would have entered it in, it would thank you, say you'll see the changes on your next billing statement, and redirect you to the actual home page of verizonwireless.com. Norton Internet Security 2010 recognizes this as a known phishing website. You should report this number to Verizon, or your cellular provider, to help in the investigation of the scam, take security measures to your account if necessary, and other help. Stay safe!

This is some very garbled message about verizon.com. The ladies voice almost sounded Spanish? My husband and I both received a call from the same # at the same time. If it was Verizon, they really need to check to listen to the quality of the message before sending it.
