Here's an effective way to stop this caller from bugging you to switch electricity provider company; 866-246-7196. Just give the caller's phone number to verify it's on their list and give the receiving phone number to add to the do not call list. They only provide this service to a small number of companies but it includes this caller.

Unidentified caller. When dialed there is a recorded message: "Hi you were called by a marketing company. Calls of this nature are not urgent. If you want to opt out of future calls please press 9." The voice is calm and reassuring, but pressing any digit in response is not recommended. No company name given, arousing a little suspicion about its'authenticity.
