1/30/2014	Same here. A lady, speaking french (possibly with sub saharan accent) She offered 1 month for free. Voice quality was horrible (delays, static background noise) and starting asking personal questions, I didn't provide the first answer and I told them I would call them back.... But 10 minutes after, I was contacted by the fraud dpt at Rogers (this time with good voice quality). They reassured me Rogers don't ask personal information on the phone. En français: Je viens de recevoir un appel avec mauvaise qualité, avec un accent africain. Une femme se présentait comme agent de Rogers pour me donner un mois gratuit... Puis elle a demandé mon information personnelle. J'ai refusé puis je lui ai dit que j'allais retourner l'appel. Quelques minutes plus tard j'ai reçu un autre appel, ce fois-ci avec bonne qualité du dpt de fraudes de Rogers en me disant que je ne devais pas donner mes données Unknown Negative
1/28/2014	I have received a call from this number from a person claiming to be a rogers representative offering me 60$, the connection was really bad as if they were calling via internet. When he wanted information on my name thats when the red flag started going up.. I told them that if they are calling me they should know all this information. He claimed the reason why they are asking is that they need to make sure who they are sending the check to.. (thats when another red flag went up.. as instead of sending me a check, why wouldn't they just offer to credit my account?).. i gave them a fake name and then they wanted my date of birth which i then gave them another wrong date of birth.. they put me on hold... but something didnt seem right.. so i hung up.. they have then constantly been trying to call me at least 6-7 times after that which i didnt answer.. the next morning they called again.. i again didnt pick up.. instead called that number back from another phone. It led me to Rogers technical support.. I explained my situation to the agent if this is a promotion and was told that they have no idea what i'm talking about.. later on in the afternoon received a call from Rogers Fraud department. this is a fraudulent group which where they can alter the phone number so the person on the other end thinks its Rogers, Please be careful when giving out information as if they are truly from the company they are calling from they should be aware of your information.
